Density Hardware Warranty

Below is a summary of Density’s Warranty. This is intended to provide a general overview.  Please reference Section 5 of our Terms of Service for complete warranty coverage information.

Warranty Coverage

Sensors shall be in working order for a 5-year period from the date of shipment, subject to relocations (discussed below). The maximum time for the Warranty is 5 years (e.g., it does not get extended during the time sensors are being relocated).

The terms of the Warranty, as summarized here, apply to all orders executed on Density paper, whether executed in the past or to be executed in the future (i.e., the Warranty terms apply retroactively). Other variations of the Warranty may apply to deployments (i) negotiated on customer-paper or (ii) in which our Terms were appended to an Order Form (i.e., not simply referenced by hyperlink).

Warranty Period

If a Subscription expires prior to the 5-year period, then the Warranty shall expire at that same time, but only to those sensors (not other orders).

If a customer re-starts a Subscription after it expires, the Warranty no longer applies.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The Warranty does not cover the following:

  • Hardware neglect, abuse, accident, vandalism, or similar occurrences.
  • In the event a Customer relocates a sensor, the Warranty shall be suspended as to that sensor from the period the sensor is uninstalled until the sensor is re-installed, re-calibrated, and confirmed in Density to be properly operational and properly functioning as intended. All costs associated with a relocation are the responsibility of the Customer.
  • Failure to follow instructions of Density or an authorized installer or reseller.
  • Sale or transfer to a company not named in the order form or any related change order.

Customer Claim under Warranty

The customer will submit a claim for Warranty protection & replacement of sensors.

Once Density determines the Warranty applies, Density will send replacement sensors at no cost to the customer.

If requested by Density, the customer will ship faulty sensors to Density (at Density's cost) within 30 days of the customer's receipt of replacement sensors.
