Monitor specific usage of assets in your floorplan by adding spaces to your floorplans - such as desks, conference rooms, kitchens, or fitness centers.

Log in to your Dashboard and go to the Open Area page.

Select the building in the top-left dropdown, and select your floorplan.

Go to Management in the drop-down in the center of the page.

Change your plan into Planning mode on the right side of the page.

Note: Your sensors and their assigned locations should already be loaded on your floor plan. If you need to add sensors, see the instructions Adding Open Area sensors to the Density Dashboard. If your data does not align with your floorplan, follow the Open Area data validation instructions to correct any alignment issues.

Zoom into the area you wish to add the space by clicking cmd + scroll, or pinch-zooming on a touchpad.

Select the box icon.

Select with a box or a circle depending on the shape of your area of interest.
- Please note: Areas of interest should be a minimum of 6'x6' or a 6' radius.

Input a description of the space in the Name text box

Click to add the shape on the floor plan

You can drag the shape to be larger or smaller based on the area of interest size.

Use a fixed reference point (like a wall or column) to adjust the exact position of the shape.

Test if the Space is in the correct location by following the instructions in Open Area data validation.
