Directory view allows you to show a list of spaces and their real-time occupancy for users to make decisions based on current availability. The display shows current occupancy numbers, percentage full based on set capacity, and a stoplight color system to quickly find the most active spaces. Colors indicate:
Green - least amount of foot traffic in the last 15 minutes
Yellow - more foot traffic than green, and less foot traffic than red
Red - greatest amount of foot traffic in the last 15 minutes
Setting up your display
1) Log in to your Dashboard and select Safe Display at the top of your screen (or you can log in directly to Safe)
2) At the top right, click Add Display +
3) Select Directory View > Configure Display
4) Fill in the display details

Display Name - Name for the list of displays on the Safe Display homepage

Display Type - Optimize the screen for tablet, television, monitor, or mobile viewing

Hide current count - Checking the box will show percentages only. Unchecking the box will show the number of people in the space currently

Show QR code - Select the display shown by the QR code from a list of existing displays Note: Turning on the QR code and selecting the current display will allow users to scroll through all added spaces on their mobile device
5) Select either Capacity or Entrance mode, then enter the additional details
As you select options, the Safe Display preview will render on the right
Capacity Mode

Directory title - name to show on display

Directory mode - select Capacity

Choose a space - choose the location to display

Threshold Type - set the safe, legal, or target capacity

Capacity - the maximum number of people in the space
Entrance Mode
For Entrance Mode, the order dynamically changes to show the spaces with the least entrances at the top of the list. Colors are assigned as a comparison between added spaces.
- Directory title - name to show on display
- Directory mode - select Entrances
- Time window - set the amount of time to show entrances
- Choose a space - choose the location to display
- Threshold Type - set the safe, legal, or target capacity
6) Click Add space to add additional spaces to the directory
Please note: Up to 50 spaces can be added to a single directory. On a fixed display, only the spaces that fit on the screen will show (e.g. the first 6 spaces for an iPad). A full list can be scrolled through on a mobile device by adding the QR code option set to the Directory Display, or through a link.
7) Click Save Display
8) To use the Directory display on a fixed display, you can either copy the display link to your clipboard by clicking the copy link icon on the right or open a new full-screen window
To link to a scrollable directory on a mobile device, click the copy link icon. At the end of the URL, add &share to create the share link
